Italian Lakes - Day 5 - Desenzano - Free Day

Free day, but Martin was still up at 06.30 to wash the car as was Niel to wash his "F Type" the pair of them are doing this every day as is Mark with the Ferrari - causing quite a few mickey taking comments.

Everyone doing their own thing today. Some are driving to the Ferrari Museum, others are catching the ferry to another part of the lake, and some of us hiring boats on the lake.

After a leisurely breakfast the 8 of us met up just after 9 am to stroll along the lake side to collect the boats.

All the paperwork done, the 2 drivers were given a short briefing on how to handle the boats, then off we went.
First destination was Simione, but a different view from yesterday, but was not allowed to moor up.
Then across the lake to Bardolino, where we could tie up the boat and have a coffee. We then crossed back across the lake & motored along the coast, to Salo, out round the island and back to Desenzano
Arriving back at 2 pm on time - what a great time was had by all, especially Neil (Moreton) as it was his 50th Birthday today.

Time for a late lunch in a restaurant by the tiny harbour.
After lunch and a short wonder round the town we went out separate ways agreeing to meet up again at 6.30.
We went back to the hotel, collected something to read, and then spent the rest of the time on the beach.

Had a lovely evening at a different restaurant by the harbour for Neil's 50th.
